This year we engaged Chris to sell our business – Gracious Greetings. Madeline and I take much pleasure in providing this testimonial.
From day one to settlement Chris was very professional and exceptionally well organised. We engaged Chris to sell the business on Friday the 11th March 2011 and supplied him with a business information folder. He had the folder photocopied and returned to us the following Monday. On Saturday 19th March we received an email with a draft one page business summary and a suggested financial summary based on discussions held through the week. His presentation of the financials to best reflect the KPI’s used by accountants when looking at a business for a buyer left us in no doubt that Chris had strong background in business management.
We have no doubt that his communication skills and business knowledge allows Chris to present information to potential buyers in a clear and concise manner. This can be attested to from the feedback by our buyer. She said Chris’s extensive knowledge of the business and his promptness in getting back to her with any requests for information made her feel comfortable.
Chris focuses on what needs to be accomplished to make the sale and see the sale through to settlement. This focus made it possible for the sale of the business to be completed within a tight time line required by the buyer. First contact with the buyer was made on the 09th May and Chris had a contract signed on the 07th June and settlement completed on 30th June.
To this day we still comment on how hassle free and smoothly the sale went. All due to Chris.

It was lovely to see Graham out here on the stock take day and have a friendly chat with him, Graham has been very helpful all the way through the process and we could not fault him at all. One thing I have found in the newsagency game is that everybody is happy and busy at the same time and also that everybody cares for each other, I have not met any negative people so far and i hope it stays that way.

This fell over, however Chris had a back up buyer and we settled one month later than the first Contract was due to settle. We settled 27th April 2010.
