The Queensland Newsagents Federation conducts an Introduction to the Industry training school for incoming and prospective newsagents at the beginning of each month. Industry associates participate to provide information and assistance.

The training provides the prospective purchaser with an overview of the industry to assist in the decision process. For attendees already signed to purchase the seminar gives confidence to enter the industry with the knowledge and resources needed.

The 3 1/2 day course provides an overview of matters pertaining specifically to the industry and small business retailing. Subjects include:
